The Federation of Revolutionary Syndicalist Organizations of Brazil – FOB (formerly the Forum of Base Oppositions) began in 2010 and brings together trade union, student and grassroots organizations. Its main strategy is revolutionary trade unionism, in opposition to the state and reformist trade unionism that predominates in the country today. It seeks to establish a popular counter-power to build another society based on equality, freedom and socialism. This will not be possible until the current system of exploitation and misery is ended.
Because it is autonomous from political parties, companies, bosses, governments and the state, it is an organization that stands on its own two feet, which is why it doesn’t have the famous “stuck tail”.
The FOB proposes to bring together organizations from all over Brazil to rebuild a mass revolutionary trade union movement in the country. As well as having this national objective, it proposes to contribute to the international revolutionary reorganization of the working class, which is why it is accompanying the construction of the International Confederation of Labour (CIT).
The FOB is currently in locations in the following states:
Bahia
Ceará
Federal District
Mato Grosso do Sul
Pará
Paraná
Pernambuco
Piauí
Rio de Janeiro
Rio Grande do Norte
Santa Catarina
São Paulo
